I didn’t set out to become a flower shop owner. Growing up in Louisiana, I was always more interested in how things worked, how businesses were built and how communities thrived. After college, I worked in several industries and started a few small ventures of my own, learning hard lessons about leadership, cash flow, and customer service along the way. When Kaila and I took over The Flower Shop of Lake Charles, I saw it as a chance to apply those lessons in a new arena.
Owning a flower shop taught me that every arrangement and every delivery is a system to be honed. I developed processes for scheduling, inventory, hiring, marketing, and finances while Kaila poured her talent into design. Together, we grew one location into two, expanded into Iowa, and created jobs for people we care about. My story isn’t about flowers it’s about building something that lasts and lifting up the people around me.
